Upcoming E-Book: Develop and Flex Your Confidence Muscles …

For the last week I have been working on an e-book which I appropriately titled “Develop and Flex Your Confidence Muscles” based on what’s been happening in my life for the last 18 months and many of the posts I’ve written on here. This is part of the introduction of the e-book on why I selected “Develop and Flex Your Confidence Muscles” has the title.People look at other people who have self-confidence, the same way they look at people who are in great shape with beautiful physiques and they say to themselves: “I wish I could be like that.” “I wish I had that kind of self-confidence.” Or “I wish I had a body like that.”As a Women’s Physique Competitor who has been training with weights since I was 16 years old, and as a Confidence Builder who has been working on developing my self-confidence since I was eight years old – I can attest to the undeniable fact that whether you are looking to develop a fabulous physique or impeccable self-confidence both require effort, hard work, and daily commitment to getting it done. Both require you push yourself pass you comfort zones, self-limitations and fears. Both require you overcome your negative mindset, and the challenges and obstacles that you will inevitably face.Absolutely no one is born with impeccable self-confidence or a full set of muscles – now, yes, it’s true some are born with better temperaments (the combination of mental, physical, and emotional traits of a person; natural predisposition) and genetics towards being able to more easily develop and have either or both, but the fact you weren’t gifted with the temperament or genetics is by no means a valid excuse or reason why you don’t have the self-confidence you wish you had or the body you wish you had. What you need to do is start putting in the work having what you want requires. To have self-confidence, like muscles, you have to exercise in order to develop it and once you have self-confidence; you need to flex those “confidence muscles” to keep growing them.  I’m making the analogy of developing self-confidence to developing muscles for three reasons:I think it makes it easier to understand that developing self-confidence is a process which takes time and effort, much like developing muscles.  A process that will make you sweat (albeit in a different way) as you work on it. Building self-confidence like building muscles are both very important to me and core to my identity; hence, to link the two together makes perfect sense. Continue reading
